BANANA BREAD
1/2 c.warm water or soya milk plus 1Tbsp. yeast in bowl
while this is melting together
blender is used to whiz
3/4 c. honey or date sugar and 1/2 of oil and 3 bananas add to yeast mixture
then add
2 c.of flour (whole wheat or white or both plus 1 /2 tsp.salt
mix well
let rise for 10-15 mins.
bake at 350* for 30-35mins

Basic Whole Wheat Bread
Ingredients:

* 1 cup warm water
* 1 Tbsp. honey
* 1 package of yeast
* 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. oil
* 3 cups whole wheat flour

* For a lighter loaf, substitute 1/4 cup gluten flour for 1/4 cup whole wheat flour.

Instructions:

Dissolve honey in water, then stir in yeast. Let stand until yeast begins to bubble (5-8 minutes). Stir in oil and salt. Add 1 1/2 cup flour. Beat for at least 1 minute. Add remaining flour gradually. Use only amount necessary to handle dough without it sticking. Lightly flour table and knead dough for five minutes. Add more flour if necessary. Place dough to rise until double (30-45 minutes). Punch down, knead briefly. Squeeze out air bubbles. Shape into loaf. Place in lightly oiled pan. Cover with towel and let rise until double again (30-45 minutes) Bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes, until golden brown, and bread slips from pan. Cool on rack.

Almonds Crunch Granola
Ingredients:

* 1 cup boiling water
* 1 cup dates
* 3 medium apples, cored and chopped
* 1 tsp. vanilla
* 1 cup almonds, ground
* 1 cup coconut
* 1/2cup cornmeal
* 1 cup wheat flakes
* 6 cups rolled oats

Instructions:

Put dates and apples in boiling water in a small sauce pan. Cover and let simmer until apples are tender. Grind almonds fine, and combine with coconut in a large mixing bowl. Blend date mixture with vanilla until smooth. Combine with almond mixture and beat well. When cool, stir in remaining ingredients. Crumble mixture evenly over 2 large cookie sheets. Preheat oven to 350° and reduce to 250° when you put cookie sheets into oven. After 1 hour, reduce heat to 200°. Stir often, baking until dry.
